Life at CBU
Why did you choose your major? What interested you in this particular field of study?
I chose to major in Graphic Design with a concentration in Video and Animation because
I鈥檝e always been drawn to visual storytelling and communicating in creative ways.
I was especially interested in how design can influence the way people think, feel
and interact with content across different platforms.
What did you like about being in this program at CBU?
I specifically enjoyed the professors' intentionality and real world experience, the
community that CAVAD has and the hands-on classes.
What did you think about your professors?
My professors at CBU were very intentional, knowledgeable and skilled. They are more
than willing to mentor and invest in the students.
Did you complete an internship?
Yes, a graphic design internship at Brand Amp Marketing Agency.
Did you participate in anything else at CBU?
I participated in an International Service Project and was a member of the Associated
Students of SA国际传媒视频.
How did you grow while in this program at CBU?
During my time in this program, I enjoyed being challenged and having our program
treated as the real world. Having our professors equip us to stand out in the world
and create for a bigger purpose was especially rewarding.
Did your major help you figure out your purpose?
Yes, by encouraging to me try everything and fail. By doing this my strengths and
passions were revealed.
Life after CBU
What have you done since graduating?
I currently work for Dave Ramsey in Nashville, Tennessee, I started a freelance drone
wedding content business with my FAA Part 107 license, and got married to the girl
I met my freshman year at CBU...and we now have a 1 year old daughter!
What are your current job duties?
I create engaging shareable social media content that reaches new people and helps
brings followers from 3rd party to 1st party platforms.
How has your major and time at CBU prepared you for your life and career after college?
CBU prepared me and gave me the tools and skills to stand out. It taught me to do
things with excellence and think differently.
Is there anything you learned at CBU that you still use in your professional life
today?
Yes, I actively use the Adobe suite, and honestly use inspiration from all my CAVAD
classes since they were hands-on and practical in learning tools, etc.
How are you making a difference in the world? How are you living your purpose?
I feel that I am living my purpose by creating social media content that drives people
towards financial peace and ultimately meeting the prince of peace, Jesus Christ.
What are your future goals and plans?
I would like to grow my drone business and continue to create social media content
that changes peoples' lives.
Would you recommend CBU to others?
Yes, at CBU the professors are intentional and you're not just a number. The classes
and opportunities on campus are beneficial and practical. There is a strong community
within CBU.
